Why now

The copper era is over.

Three clocks are ticking on your practice's phone lines — the carrier's, the regulator's, and the season's.

The retirement

Analog lines are being switched off.

Since 2019, the FCC no longer requires carriers to maintain the old copper network. Across the country, POTS lines are being retired — and the price of keeping one climbs every year, often past $100 per line.

The question isn't whether your practice leaves copper. It's whether you choose where you land — or your carrier chooses for you.

The liability

Your phone system is a HIPAA exposure.

Your team discusses results, appointments, and prescriptions by phone all day. That is protected health information — and HIPAA requires your phone provider to sign a Business Associate Agreement and encrypt calls and recordings.

Consumer-grade providers won't sign a BAA. Non-compliance fines run up to $1.9 million per violation category.

The season

Hurricane season doesn't wait.

When a storm takes down power or internet, a copper line or an in-office phone box goes silent — and your patients hear dead air. Clara lives in the cloud: update your greeting in one tap, forward calls to any cell, and keep running from the app on any phone or tablet — from a shelter, a home, anywhere.

No electricity or internet at the office — no missed patients.

Clara is the way off the copper — and out of the liability. Cloud-based, encrypted, covered.

Our story · Since 1969

A name that has always answered.

1969Asunción, Paraguay

Newspaper clipping: Carlos Albert, president of the Paraguayan Tennis Association / Recorte de prensa: Carlos Albert, titular de la Asociación Paraguaya de Tenis
Carlos María Albert, in the Paraguayan press.

In 1969, Carlos María Albert founded Santa Clara — one of Paraguay's first private health companies. He wasn't selling policies. He was selling something harder to earn: the promise that when it mattered, someone would answer.

The name carried two meanings: Saint Clare, patron saint of communication — and clara, the Spanish word for clear.

“Trust isn't a product. It's a phone that gets answered.”

Half a century later, his grandson brings that name — and the passion for medicine his grandfather left him — to Miami. Clara is built for one kind of business: the medical practice. Every patient, clearly connected, always answered.

The platform

Real phones. A real app. A real cloud.

A Clara desk phone in a compliant practice — encrypted from handset to cloud.

We don't sell you “a phone.”

We install your practice's complete communications system: professional desk phones at the front desk and in exam rooms, a mobile app for every provider, and a cloud that keeps it all running — encrypted, recorded, and covered by your BAA.

One provider. One bill. One number to call when you need anything.

The mobile app

The office in your pocket.

Every provider carries the practice line — without carrying a second phone or giving out a personal number.

  • Call out showing the practice number — never your cell
  • HD voice & video calls
  • Two-way business texting with patients
  • Voicemail transcribed to readable text
  • Presence & do-not-disturb for after hours
  • iPhone, Android, Mac & Windows

Cloud network infrastructure / Infraestructura de red en la nube

A cloud built for medicine

Your calls ride on four geo-redundant datacenters across the U.S. If one goes down, your patients never hear it — calls reroute automatically, encrypted end to end.

Built for

Built for how a practice actually runs.

The front desk

Every patient, understood.

Your phones answer in both languages even when your staff is with a patient — and nothing gets lost in a paper message.

  • Bilingual auto-attendant (IVR)
  • Appointment reminders by text
  • Voicemail transcribed to text
Compliance

HIPAA, handled.

A signed BAA and encrypted calls are included from day one — not an add-on, not an upsell, not your problem to chase.

  • Encrypted voice & messaging
  • Call recording on demand
The providers

Reachable — without giving out your cell.

Take the pharmacy call from your mobile, show the practice number, and keep your personal line personal.

  • Desk, laptop & mobile ring together
  • Call out showing the practice number
  • After-hours routing that works

White-glove service

One practice. One plan. One person who answers.

No call centers, no ticket queues. Every Clara practice gets a dedicated bilingual rep and a deployment designed case by case — down to the internet line and the cables in the wall.

01 Sit-down assessment

We visit your office, walk your workflow, and map what your front desk and providers actually need — in English or Spanish.

02 Internet & connectivity

We shop your address across 200+ providers and put the right circuit under your phones — before anything else happens.

03 Network planning & deployment

Cabling, Wi-Fi, router and call-priority configuration — your network is built for voice before a single phone is plugged in.

04 Install & training

Desk phones on desks, the app on every provider's phone, your staff trained in both languages — on site, not over a video call.

05 HIPAA at every step

BAA signed before go-live, encryption verified, audit trail on. Compliance isn't a checkbox at the end — it rides along the whole way.

The company behind Clara

Born in California. Built for Miami.

Clara is built by X Giga LLC, a telecom company that started in Los Angeles — selling voice service door to door, winning offices and clinics one handshake at a time. No venture money, no shortcuts: a founder with 20+ years in telecom, on the street, earning every account.

That same one-on-one playbook is now in Miami, focused on one customer: the medical practice. When you sign with Clara, the person who sold you the system is the person who answers when you call.
